—About Me—

My name is Jessyca Judge, and I'm a sophomore at the University of Michigan. I am originally from Traverse City Michigan, and growing up surrounded by the expansive views and endless opportunities for adventure has played a major role in making me into the person I am today. It also gave me the opportunity to develop and explore my creative side. I have been a dancer since the age of three, and much of my childhood was spent in the studio. Whenever I wasn't dancing, I could hang my hammock or run around in front of water that looked like a painting itself and draw, daydream, read, or write.

I've only recently begun to think of of myself as a 'writer'. I'm  studying Movement Science, and I eventually want to go to graduate school to become a Physician's Assistant. This is track packed with sciences, so in an attempt to balance it all out and continue the exploration of my creative side, I am minoring in Writing as well.

The gateway course for the Minor in Writing has allowed me to focus in on the 'writer' portion of myself. Exploring why I write and what parts of my life and writing are important to me has taught me not only that I am a writer, but it has also reminded me of how important writing is.

To the writer. To the reader. To anyone who cares.
